Behind the scenes of Love Beyond The Musical – Rehearsals #1

Dave Willetts plays 'Father God' in Love Beyond

One week ago, members of the lead cast of Love Beyond assembled together for the first time since auditions were held in London to begin 4 weeks of intense preparations for the 2 nights at The SSE Arena Wembley, which are now rapidly approaching...

The early part of the week focused on mapping out the dramatic opening sequences of Act 1 set in the ‘Garden of Eden’ - matching precise choreographic movement with complex musical sequences, note by note. The realisation of this story is already packed with passion, powerful emotion and some heart-stopping moments.

‘Eve’ (Natalie Lipin) got to know ‘Adam’ (Dougie Carter) very well as they spent much of their time ‘discovering each other’, ‘celebrating life’ through dramatic dance, and being ‘disobedient’ to their Father! It's exciting to see the chemistry and bond developing between them - and it's still early days in the process.

The Trinity – ‘Father’, ‘Jesus’ and the ‘Holy Spirit’ (played by Dave Willetts, Paul Ayres and Clyde Melville-Bain respectively) worked through the challenges of being and moving as one, while still maintaining three separate characters as they interact with each other, and with the likes of ‘Adam’, ‘Eve’ and ‘Satan’ (played by Peri Olufunwa).

As of today, the journey gets a whole lot more exciting. Full company rehearsals will be underway in London in a matter of hours with the cast of 29 gathered together under the watchful eyes of Tabitha Webb (Director), Annette Aubrey-Bradshaw (Choreographer) Richard Haley (Producer) and the associate creative team.

With only 3-weeks to go until Love Beyond The Musical hits Wembley, it promises to be a roller-coaster week. Make sure you get access to all the latest behind the scenes updates by following the production on our Facebook and Twitter pages.
